STUDENT SUPPORT


Welcome to the Rutgers University–Camden New Student Newsletter! We’re excited to share with you stories of students engaging in civic learning projects, faculty making cutting-edge breakthroughs in their fields, and all of the hands-on research opportunities that you’ll have as a Scarlet Raptor. 

In the coming months, the Office of Admissions will send you these emails with important information to help you prepare for your first semester as a Scarlet Raptor. The dedicated staff and faculty at Rutgers University–Camden want to make sure that you have all the resources that you need to succeed!

NEXT STEPS FOR ENROLLMENT
Check out your next steps for enrollment on your MyRutgers Dashboard by logging in with your NetID and password. Next steps include placement testing, immunization upload, reviewing credit evaluations, and more. Once your next steps are complete, be sure to register for one of our SOAR (student orientation, advising, and registration) programs!  

STUDENT ACADEMIC SUCCESS
The Division of Student Academic Success helps students visualize and achieve their goals! This division oversees Disability Services, the Student Success Coaches, and much more.

CENTER FOR LEARNING
For tutoring and academic coaching, you’ll want to check out the Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS). They also have online resources that cover effective time management, study skills, and other crucial tips for success.

STUDENT WELLNESS CENTER
The staff in the Student Wellness Center are dedicated to the medical and mental health of Rutgers–Camden students. 

DEAN OF STUDENTS
The Dean of Students Office helps maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment. They also have resources for the families of current students.

CAREER CENTER
Our support doesn’t stop once you’ve graduated! The Career Center helps students explore options for careers by offering trainings, workshops, and professional development at any point of their Rutgers–Camden journey.

SUMMER TO-DO LIST

Submit Final Official Transcripts 
All students are required to submit final official transcripts. High school transcripts must list all final grades and graduation completion. College transcripts must include all final grades and degrees earned. It takes 4-6 weeks for transcripts to be processed and the student portal to be updated. 

Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR)
SOAR will be your chance to meet with your academic advisor for course registration. Invitations for this event will be sent directly to you.

Raptor Welcome
August 31st – All students enrolled in on-campus programs are invited to join their fellow Scarlet Raptors at this can’t-miss tradition!

Convocation
September 12th – This formal ceremony for all incoming students led by Chancellor Tillis is sure to be a memorable occasion.

ONE STOP SHOP

Need to chat with Financial Aid or Student Accounting? Our One Stop Student Services Center is the place for you!

VACCINE INFO

Be sure to review your requirements for immunization records and updated policies surrounding vaccines.
