UNDERSTANDING YOUR TERM BILL

As we approach the Fall 2023 term, registered students will receive an email when their term bill is available to view online using the Student Account System. For new students, it is important to review your term bill closely and take all required steps to ensure you start the semester off strong! Rutgers has created an online resource to help you understand your term bill. Only students registered for classes receive term bills.

STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE
Rutgers University requires that all students either enroll in or waive the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) at the start of each semester. Students must visit University Health Plans to enroll or waive. The deadline to waive your insurance plan for Fall 2023 is September 22, 2023.

MEAL PLANS
Rutgers–Camden Dining has made eating on campus easy, affordable, and enjoyable with their Meal Plan Program. With one of our meal plan options, you’ll have access to a pre-paid account that can be used for buying meals on campus! Residential students automatically have a meal plan applied to their term bill, and commuter students can choose the plan that works best for them.

With a meal plan, you’ll be able to access our newly-renovated all-you-care-to-eat Gourmet Dining Hall that offers sustainably-sourced products and local vendors. And students can build their nutrition knowledge through the Nutrition Services program and in our interactive Teaching Kitchen.

You can also grab a meal in the Scarlet Food Court while you’re on the go. Raptor Dollars (available for standalone purchase or through your meal plan) can be used at other dining locations like Starbucks and the Market Convenience Store. You can even order ahead through Grubhub!

PARKING ON CAMPUS
Plan on driving to campus? Fall 2023 parking permits will soon be available for purchase! There are options for residents parking a car on campus, commuting students, and students that take evening classes. Be sure to review where you can park with your specific permit. Log into your Parking Account with your NetID to buy a permit, register your vehicle, and be ready for the fall.

If you are driving to campus, please review the local directions for getting here. Our campus is also easily accessible by many public transportation options including the Riverline, PATCO, and bus. The city of Camden is also proud to introduce the Camden Loop, a mini-van rideshare service within the city of Camden, that allows passengers to travel for just $2.

With multiple options and our commuter rewards program, we encourage you to determine if public transit is the right option!
