The four make-up essentials for college, in my opinion, are:
- Make-up cleansing wipes
- Concealer
- Lip balm
- Waterproof Mascara
Make-up cleansing wipes are a must! They not only clean your face after a long day of wearing make-up, sweating, and touching your face but also double as wipes for cleaning your sink area when you make a mess with your foundation or eye shadow. If you’re messy, like me, then make-up wipes are essential. There are different types of make-up wipes you can buy for your specific skin type: for dry skin, for oily skin, for normal skin, or for combination skin.
Concealer is the most important item on the list! Whether you have a class at 8 a.m. or an event in the evening, concealer is your pal. The bags under your eyes will thank you for hiding them. Concealer is also a quick tool for covering any stress pimples you might have sprouted after a cramming session.
Lip balm is essential for preventing chapped lips! It’s important to have especially in the winter time. Your lips and the cold do not get along. You don’t want to be talking to that cute guy in your Statistic class with flaky, chapped lips because you will embarrass yourself. Trust me.
Mascara—no—Waterproof mascara is key. It makes your eyes pop, of course, but will also last through your mental breakdown after procrastinating a semester’s worth of assignments. Finding the perfect waterproof mascara is typically based on trial and error. Once you find it, stick with it!
