Alexis is from Blackwood, New Jersey. She plans to graduate May 2020 with her B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Her goal is to attend a five-year program after she finishes her studies at Rutgers—Camden to obtain her PhD and become a Clinical Psychologist. When she’s not busy doing school work, she’s fulfilling her role as captain of the Cheerleading Team cheering on Rutgers—Camden’s men’s basketball team or killing it at competition, planning Psi Chi’s next event as the chapter’s President, working on Honors College activities as a part of the Think Tank, helping out students as a peer tutor, or working as a Mental Health Associate at a nearby inpatient psychiatric hospital. She completed an internship with the Rutgers—Camden Office of Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance, where she planned events to raise awareness regarding interpersonal violence and taught active bystander strategies to other students. She’s also conducted research with Dr. Ira Roseman, who studies emotional pathways, and worked with Dr. Courtenay Cavanaugh on researching violence against women. She works on campus in the Rutgers—Camden Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Admissions as a Raptor Ambassador Executive Leader, taking part in conducting tours of the campus and improving the program overall!

I love having the chance to show off all our school has to offer and it has given me immense pride as a Scarlet Raptor!
