Breanna is from Pennsauken, New Jersey and graduated with her B.A. in English from Rutgers–Camden. After spending her undergraduate studies forming valuable relationships with the faculty in the Rutgers–Camden English program and not yet ready to leave the academic community she fell in love with, she began her graduate study in the Rutgers–Camden Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Throughout her graduate studies, she served as the Graduate Writing Assistant for students in The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, discussing methods and processes of academic writing with graduate students both individually and during writing workshops. She graduated with her M.A. in English and Media Studies May 2019. In addition to her role as co-creator and Editor in Chief of The Raptor’s Nest, Breanna is a Graduate Communications Assistant in the Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Admissions. She also works as the Digital Marketing and Media Consultant for the nonprofit organization Camden County Pop Up Library. She met Executive Director, Tom Martin, through one of her Rutgers–Camden undergraduate courses, Writing for the Nonprofit Sector, taught by Leah Falk.
Transferring to Rutgers–Camden my sophomore year was the best decision I could have made for myself socially, academically, and professionally. I think most students come to college with an idea of what they want to study and what they want to do, but it’s the school’s community and opportunities as well as an exploration through various courses and encounters that really fine-tune their skill-set and goals. I’ll always be a part of the invaluable and closely-knit network of scholars and educators Rutgers–Camden provided.
