Before the Scarlet Summer Social, Rutgers–Camden hosted New Raptor Night for incoming undergraduate students. Our first Scarlet Summer Social was in 2016 and kicked off with great success. The Scarlet Summer Socials are free and each year Rutgers–Camden plans something new and exciting.
This year’s Scarlet Summer Social was at BB&T Pavilion in Camden on Saturday, July 14 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and was one for the books. Students were permitted to bring one guest to the event. Registration filled up quickly, and the first wave of students who registered were given free tickets to the Kevin Hart: The Irresponsible Tour performance that same evening, which started at 8 p.m. Students were also given food vouchers for a snack or meal in the pavilion.
Students checked-in before 7:15 p.m. on Rutgers–Camden campus (where there is parking available) and then took one of our shuttles to the BB&T. Shuttles were also provided to return students and their guests to the Rutgers–Camden parking lots after the performance ended.
The event was filled with the forming of new friendships and a lot of laughter. Rutgers–Camden’s Admissions Team was very helpful in answering any questions that new students had and also showed everyone just how fun it is to be a part of such a great community. I’m looking forward to future Scarlet Summer Socials, they just keep getting better! Below are some pictures from the event!
