This week’s student spotlight goes to: TIFFANY!
This is a relatively new blog series meant to give Rutgers—Camden undergraduate students a chance to be featured on our blog page. It welcomes students to show off what they have been able to accomplish here at Rutgers—Camden and also offers an opportunity to show their unique pathway to success in order to hopefully help others!
Tiffany T. is currently a junior (graduating in May of 2022) Finance major. She is also a third singles player and a part of the first doubles team for our very own Rutgers Women Tennis team! Here she has been awarded as a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) First Team player and Co-Rookie of the Year! Not to mention, she was even named the team’s MVP player her freshman year! She also adds many academic honors to her impressive resume, such as being awarded Rutgers—Camden Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll for multiple semesters.
To continue on, here are some reasons why Tiffany chose her major of Finance and Rutgers—Camden. Tiffany went into Finance with the dream of one day owning her very own business that she’ll love so much, she’ll have the ability to create a life that she doesn’t need to vacation from. At the end of the day she wants to have the freedom to do what she wants when she wants to and learning about finance will enable her to do that.
But why Rutgers—Camden, you may ask? Tiffany chose RUC because of the atmosphere provided. She is able to feel close to home, but still far enough away from it. That’s not the only close thing she loves about the campus. She loves how Philly is literally a five minute PATCO ride over! She also chose RUC because of our tennis team. Tiffany has been playing the sport ever since she was six years old, so being on the team was a must. On the team, she was able to earn a great spot while having an amazing coach throughout her seasons. She was also able to make good friends along the way that have come from all different backgrounds with one thing in common: the love for the game. With having all of these accomplishments, you would think that she did not have any free time on her hands! But whenever she does, she likes to fit in gym time. Tiffany likes to squeeze the gym into her schedule not only to make sure that she keeps in shape, but also because it helps her focus in class. Most importantly, it makes her feel good! However, at the end of the day she loves to spend time with the most important people in her life: her family and friends!
