WORLD-CLASS FACULTY & RESEARCH
Your future professors at Rutgers University–Camden are world-class researchers that lead in their fields. With our small class sizes and close-knit campus, you’ll have the opportunity to work one-on-one with them. That’s how our students help shape the world through their research.
The Rutgers–Camden community is forging the future. Here are some recent research highlights from our faculty and your future professors:
- Research Awards. Read about the five faculty members who received the 2022 Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Research and Creative Activity. Excellence in research and scholarship isn’t something that’s exceptional at Rutgers–Camden. Whether you’re studying sociology, nursing, or marketing, you’ll be at the forefront of knowledge!
- History. Associate professor of history Susan Mokhberi won the prestigious 2022 Iran World Book Award at the 39th Annual Iran Book of the Year Awards. Professor Mokhberi’s book, The Persian Mirror: Reflections of the Safavid Empire in Early Modern France, was selected out of over 1,600 submissions.
- Business. Rutgers–Camden is dedicated to the community that we call home. When Camden’s bond rating was raised to an A-, Richard Michelfelder–clinical associate professor and researcher in the School of Business–discussed what it could mean for the city’s future.
- Public Affairs. This year, a group of researchers in Rutgers–Camden’s Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs published a study on the importance of social-service collaboratives for South Jersey families.
- Nursing. To improve breast cancer outcomes among Black women in Camden and other underserved communities, the director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice program Wanda Williams recently received a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
