SCARLET RAPTOR WELCOME
Can you believe that the fall semester starts in less than two weeks? Here at Rutgers–Camden, all new students are invited to an exciting and engaging event that has become one of our biggest traditions! If you haven’t already, be sure to register for Scarlet Raptor Welcome that will be held on Thursday, September 1st. This special occasion is an orientation, celebration, and way to meet your future classmates!
Check-in is from 8:30am to 9:00am with activities, music, giveaways, and prizes throughout the day! You can check out the full schedule, but we’ve highlighted some agenda items below:
- Group “R” Picture – During every Raptor Welcome, the new students gather together to form a giant Rutgers R on the soccer field. (Check out the image at the top of this email for an example!)
- Library Escape Room – The staff of the Paul Robeson Library have put together a captivating escape room for you.
- Student Organization Fair – Learn how you can get involved in lots of different student clubs and organizations while enjoying food trucks and music!
- Movie Under the Stars – Stay into the evening to watch a mystery movie in the quad (with snacks).

POINTS OF SCARLET PRIDE
- A new fellowship program in the School of Nursing allows Nursing students to get a head start in hands-on research.
- The new Experiential Learning Fund is available to all full-time Rutgers–Camden undergraduate students and allows you to get hands-on experience and grow professionally.
- Our innovative Bridging the Gap program continues to help students drastically reduce their college costs! Check out all our Financial Aid options.
